went the first part of the month,too crowded that day headed to avila same thing,cuyocus son caught about a one foot spotted shark guess it was a lepperd.try again in a few weeks. whats the best time to go to pismo?

if your fishing for shark i would just take the extra drive to cayucos. thats the place to go. but in pismo, mid July is what i think is best. the mackeral and smelt run through there about that time and as soon as your line hits the water your gaurenteed to latch on with as many hooks as you have on : )

one day i went fishing we kept catching macral nonstop all together 41 but just mackrel. we didnt even have to set the hook. that waas the one and only time i was sick of catchin the fish :\

what r u going for off the capitola wharf? striper, halibut? anyway have a good time. also try new brighton beach for surf fishing for striper one day there were limits of them. i would use pencil poppers. good luck
