Nice song. Never realized the strings were higher off the fret board. Man! And I was always hitting the fretboard when I played the slide!

I think this video just made up my mind, I'm getting a dobro when i get back from this deployment! lol learning to play guitar right now. would love to get some hints as to which kind of dobro to get when i do get one. thanks for the beautiful tunes!

I just learned to play the whole song on my standard guitar. I just took my cheap nylon acoustic guitar and I lifted up the strings. I also built my home-made slide bar. It's not difficult to play, but it's hard to see what notes he does. Someday I wish I could buy a dobro, but for now i'll stay with my home-made slide guitar.
In my country the dobro is not very popular, so It's very expensive.

Hi Ivan. My husband bought me a dobro for Christmas and I am eager to learn to play. Is your instructional video good for beginners? If you could tell me where to order the DVD I'd really appreciate it. Also, my husband wants to know what tuning you used for this song. Thanks for your time! Rachel
