I am relieved to hear that. After a bit of looking into it, I am also very pleasantly surprised to find that orange actually makes "miniature" tube amps. Anyways, it probably doesn't matter today, as long as people get a good sound on the record.

Orange hasn't been sold to anyone, they're still an independent company. Anyways, *everyone* has a line of cheap solid-state amps and/or digital amps. They're cheaper and so people buy them more, profit margins are much better on them. That's just business.
