@interstategar None of the Cowsills are credited in any way with writing the words or music for this song. It was written for the musical "Hair" by James Rado and Gerome Ragni (lurics) and Galt MacDermot (music). The version in the play is sung much faster and has a few minor differences. Of the two versions I feel that the Cowsills' one is far and away the better of the two.
