  • What about most animals kept at the zoo, or at home? What about your dog, or cat, or rabbit? There are many worse things going on. For the orcas at sea world at least they're treated better than any other aquarium. You worry about this more than homeless animals starving to death, or being abused to the point where they can't be around a human?

  • @eventingx3 If they are taken care of correctly, why are they dying so young?

  • I understand all the anti-captive people and why they don't like captivity but I feel the need to say: QUIT BASHING THE TRAINERS. They're there to give the whales the best life they can.

  • @BenAshworthBASH STFU you hater! i didnt ask ur opinion and are u really that stupid how can u MAKE a 8,000 pound animal do anything? They ask them dumb ass!!! Have u even been to sea world? You have no right to judge if u havent. And its not a show its a training sesson with music. So why dont u just go hate on stupid anti captive videos! No one wants to hear ur stupid opinion on pro captive videos anyways.

  • @FutureOrkidTrainer yes you can dickwad. They give them food after they do tricks. If you cant make them do anything then how the fuck do you think they do their acts when commanded to? THe dont just randomly do what they want and it happens to be a show

  • Orkid my lovely whale :D and to you haters shut up no one cares about your opinion on sea world its just a waste of ur time there not forced to do anything u cant force an 8,000 pound animal to do anything smart ones

  • All of you people see to think that you can all read the whales' minds. Did they themselves tell you they were depressed? Because unless they did you have absolutely no proof these whales are unhappy. Their behavior suggests that they are not depressed; they interact, play breed, eat, and perform as if they are happy, not how someone suffering from depression would behave.

  • @elfwhitewave when did I say it was? I merely said you think you could force a whale to do that without using punishment? (which SeaWorld uses only positive reinforcemnt in case you didn't know). The proof of the bond is in how the whales and trainers interact, you can choose not to see it and try to change something you won't be able to when there are many more things that could use all you people against captivity's efforts.

  • @shamuroxy

no, but getting an orca pee sample isnt a miricle of traning or a bond of trust. Its just letting the orca lie on its side until the weight of the animal forces it to urinate which the trainers then catch.

its NOT proof of a bond at all.

  • This is fucking cruelty, putting such beautifull creatures into tanks like this, the sonar system in a tank make them feel really depressive

  • Orcas in captivity need to do some sort of tricks to have stimulation,if they just left them in a tank without training them...They would get depressed and clearly they enjoy it.
