This is the CO2 recipe that I have found trumps all. Home made CO2 gives your plants the boost that they want. I however put mine on and probably killed a rainbow fish by dropping the PH too fast. I should have used an airstone. But the plants love it. Just be careful. Use an airstone when the lights are off. more at aquatic jungles.blogspot.

  • I think this is what my plants need! So do you put the bottle below the tank with a lid, a small hose through it leading to the tank through an airstone? Do I have this on 24/7 or just in the day? And how often should I make a new solution? Thanks Dustin, you're awesome!

  • @MyFishCare101 24, 7 but runn an airstone at night imo...

  • Something I tested and it's working. Yeast CO2 for two months and still going fine. I use three plastic bottles (2,5 L each) with minimum yeast (less than a half tea spoon) and 1 kg of sugar in each bottle. Small amount of yeast per bottle with a lot of sugar will give you long lasting CO2 production unit with small amount of CO2. Three bottles combined will give you enough CO2 for your tank. I'll see how long this set-up will work like this and will post again.

  • @sasexe13 This is great to hear!!! Let me know. Send a video attachment!

  • Is that bottle from V8?

  • @blackwolf1987 good eye!

  • @beelang817 SH!T NO!!!! you seal it up and set it way below the tank. DONT POUR IT IN THERE! the gass that comes out is what you let run into your tank.. I'll make another video for this... Don't do anything yet!

  • @AwesomeAssassin1000 I think you can use a little bit of baking soda instead. Although you will get co2 even if you just use water, sugar, and yeast.

  • @ozsoy66 were they weed plants because thats what i looked up the video for?

  • U could use tap water it doesn't matter

  • I just use sparking wather

  • hay dustin love ur vids anyway here in the uk i cant find mullasis so is there any other thing i could use insted thanx a bunch

  • @amantoske You have to run the co2 coming out of the yeast and sugar mix through another airtight bottle filled with just water; this way the alcohol gets deposited into that water; cleansing the co2 before it reaches the tank.

  • YOU CAN JUST USE BROWN SUGAR AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO ADD THE MOLASSES

  • To wszystko jest na zasadzie takiej jak robi sie wino ,tyle tylko ze zamiast rurki w korku wkladasz wezyk i do akwarium- a babelki ktore wychodza to wlasnie co2

  • @ozsoy66 lol

  • @Dustinsfishtanks Dustin i want to ask isn't that co2 after week turning deadly alcohol?
