@dadamahe If you can't find a placemat, look for the flexible cutting mats at the dollar stores. That is what I use, and they are fantastic.

I also make my own mats. I get the chopping mats at the dollar store, 2 come in a package and I use them as my cutting mats, the cricut ones are made of the same mats just the cricut ones have the lines on them, but I use a sharpie and I make trace my cricut mats so I know where to line up the paper, but my new mats work like a champ, and if I don't feel like cleaning them I can throw them away and buy new ones, since they run me about 50 cents. What kind of place mat did you buy.

@TheQuiltmom yes, these place mats are from ikea, they are awesome and exactly the same as those cricut mats too. they are really cheap, these run me less than 50 cents each and even cheaper if u stock up when they are on clearance( i have gotten some for 10cents for a pkg of 4 before!!) i love the fact they are not so pricey to replace! but thanks for the tip, its great to let everyone know there are other alternatives out there! THW and THF!

thanks! How much did you put on? I love this idea!

@Shaniaforeverfan just a thin coat. i give a mini demo in the vid. dont forget to thin it out first! if u put it on straight, it would be too sticky.
