He was not proposing people assassinate him, he proposed he "receive the death penalty". Treason IS treason, and if we don't start taking it seriously when will the political elite? they do whatever they want and get away with it. We got to make a stand and set a precedence here. Make them aware its not acceptable, fear of the "death penalty" (through legal systems) should keep the political elite in line.

I found nothing wrong with Manning using his freedom of speech, and the truth as he did..mainly the points of him talking about Obama dying were "If they don't do what they want him to do they'll have him shot." (like JFK) or he should be hung/killed as a punishment for treason after a lawful trial. So if someone misinterprets that, it's their own fault. So if I told someone to jump off a bridge and kill their self and they did it, would I be guilty of homicide according to you..?

Manning is a psycho!!

yes, to that they definitely do, my friend

I think Manning is a little off his rocker. However, in regards to the bit about him believing (i looked up what he's said) that there will be a white backlash against Obama, it made me ask myself:
In the events after Obama was inaugurated, were there race uprisings nationwide? None that I knew about O_o
Therefore I believe Manning is just a loon.

that's not true and you know it.

I do take Manning at his word on this. Reason why I give benefit of any doubt is because it would be outlandish for anyone to outright lie about a Secret Service visit. That's serious.
NY is a big place & Im sure that if SS & law enforcement surrounded the premises (church) in HARLEM, someone surely would had a cell phone video of the ordeal.
However, I wish someone in NY would go do some ground work & report back to the rest of us of any follow up.

Thanks for responding. What I was initially asking was for you to be more specific in what part of what Manning said that made you think he crossed the line.
But I do get the gist of what you meant in this "explanation" video. So you don't really have to get too specific.
See, many folks think Obama has committed treason. And when Manning pointed out what the punishment for treason is, you probably felt he crossed the line by verbally describing the punishment.
@Monty
btw, I give U 5 STARS thumbs up because you took the time to explain. And it looked like you were struggling w/this.
The SS jacked up a citizen for free speech who had sign on his car that said something like Abort Obama, Not Babies.
The cops showed up & SS went to the man's house. All this was on the news. It ended up w/the the cops returning the man's sign; & SS left the man alone.
The community got very upset w/SS.
Would you say that this man's sign crossed the line?

arlenearmy, Wow-excellent question. I would have to say that the sign would be a bit more accepted from someone who is an average citizen. I may not agree with the slogan, But I do not feel that, that individual crossed any lines with such a sign. Dr. Manning is creeping on, if not already a, Public Figure-that is questionable. However, he is a man of influence and certainly a representative of the church! Just my opinion :)
