Stormwater Drains criss-cross every city and are meant to convey rainwater to water bodies. The more tree lined roads are, the prettier they are. There is leaf fall from these trees that find its way into the Stormwater drains. We also dump most of our solid waste into these drains. What is the simple thing we can do to capture the resource value of the leaf fall, prevent flooding by unclogging drains and utilise the stormwater to help the local water tables ?. Dont throw garbage into the drain !!!! Use the leaf fall as a source of compost !!!! And if there is garbage in the drain, clean it. The Stormwater Drain is a part of our house !!!
