If you are really more worried about what he looked like or if this is his photo you have your priorities all mixed up... this seems unimportant to me.

@TruthSeeker66614 Joseph Smith did not "hate" organized religion. Where do you draw that assumption from? He was an active Methodist. His "story", if true is the most important event in modern time. How would one set out to "destroy" organized religion? that is a ridiculous claim. he set out to "destroy" organized religion by...organizing a religion. Your statement makes no sense.

@dieneddie "The size of the lie is a definite factor in causing it to be believed, for the vast masses of a nation are in the depths of their hearts more easily deceived than they are consciously and intentionally bad. The primitive simplicity of their minds renders them a more easy prey to a big lie than a small one, for they themselves often tell little lies, but would be ashamed to tell big lies." - Adolf Hitler
That explains how & why... one must decide for themself IF Joseph Smith DID lie.

Easy to know. Just look at the photograh of Emma and her sons and you will realize this man couldn´t be Joseph Smith Jr.

too much of debating and fighting for who's right or wrong...boring!!
Just read the scriptures - you will find peace and truth there.

Where do you find this in the Bible?? " After suffering in full for their sins, they will be among the last to be resurrected by Christ. " If they go to hell, there is NO return, you can NEVER fully pay for their sins.

@TruthSeeker66614 You are mistaken. Latter-Day Saints do believe in a hell. In hell are those who rejected the gospel after it was preached to them on earth or in hell. These spirits suffer. They have removed themselves from the mercies of Jesus Christ. After suffering in full for their sins, they will be among the last to be resurrected by Christ. Those who are filthy still will be sent out to outer darkness with the devil. Others will be allowed to inherit the lowest degree of glory.
Still... the interesting comments/discussions continue here. Love it. I'm going to cut too much foul language though. I don't mind controversial ideas. I do think this world would be so much better off without so much JUDGEMENT. I think Christ rebuked the JUDGES more than anything. Forgave most other sins. The New Testament: Christ constantly rebuked hypocrites, judges, "holier-than-thous", those that tried to set themselves on pedestals. Judge not, lest ye be judged.
