  • I shot this series of ID's for the station in my role as Chief Commercial Photographer. I believe that we were the last station in the US to give up 16MM film to use 'ENG' gear for commercial and news acquisition. Larry A. Bollinger (1978-94 at KPTV), now semi-retired and doing freelance video stuff in Durango, CO.

  • would like to see the 1970's KPTV

  • It is indeed Rod Anders. He did several of these "quickie" station IDs in the early '80s, as well as other voiceovers for the station.

  • This one is easy! The voice is Ramblin Rod. Do a search for Ramblin Rod on You Tube and compare the voice. I am 199% sure it is Ramblin Rod.

  • I don't know who is the voice in this ID, but Gene Brendler used to be the ID voice for KPTV from shortly after its debut in 1952. He didn't retire until 1992, after 39 years!
