I couldn't find anything online to describe it to people or to show them what it was like, so I made a video simulating what it's been like for me recently.
It involves getting into a highly altered brain state, which was not possible to demonstrate in this video.

If you or your partner experience Lyme or Bartonella rage, look into these groups:
Bartonella group: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/bartonella/
Partners of Tick-Borne Illness Patients group: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/partnersoftbipatients/
I am also sorry you have had to experience this. I had these rage problems pretty seriously within the ~2-3 years before my physical symptoms started like a wild fire. These mental symptoms are so incredibly difficult to experience. Best wishes for recovery.

I totally relate to your simulation. I just discovered I have had Lyme for ~11 years, and we also think I have Bartonella. My husband said he's having flashbacks with your description. Thank you for posting this. I have told my husband I have experienced personality changes over the years, and told him I use to not have the rage type problems I developed. While he did believe me, we had no idea these internal changes were from a friggin' infection. Once again, thank you so much for posting this!
