Heard this song a couple months ago, decided to give the movie a try.

I just finished watching it like a few minutes ago.

    Best decision ever.

I know what you mean man. This movie is as close to perfection as it can get.

The fights were so amazing to watch, such as when Nanashi parried Lang's sword. The animation was so cool.

Also, the music is just something else. Really adds to the immersion.

And lets not forget the characters, they were so well done.

I just don't have the words for how amazing this movie is :D

This movie is extremely emotional in so many different ways. Maybe its just me, but the feelings that triggered in my gut while watching this, especially during the flashback of Nanashi's past and his final swordfight against Luo Lang, it was absolutely indescribable. This piece really compliments the emotions sparked during the scenes in the movie.

I don't say this about many things, but this movie and soundtrack is absolute perfection.

What we understand today as Bushido didn't really exist, it was last codified in the late 1880s. The warrior's code changed constantly with the changing political climate of Japan.

That is, until warriors were completely abolished and Japan became a castrated nation.

The aspect of Japanese history I find most alluring is that of the rōnin, a master-less warrior, owned by nobody but himself. Aloof to anything but his pursuit in testing himself against others, at the risk of death.

No matter how many times I watch this movie, its so good. To me Nanashi and Kenshin are very similar, in the end they both found something worth protecting its just that Nanashi and Kenshin had different ways of achieving it. Kenshin finally used his sword to protect others instead of just using it as a way of atonement, and Nanashi finally found the will to use his sword once again, in order to protect Koutarou..
