Progress: Stay Granted for Herta Llusho

ICE has granted Herta an order of supervision until November 9, 2009, but she is still facing deportation.

While this is certainly a step in the right direction, Herta will still have to report back to ICE on November 9th, and thats not good enough

DHS and ICE need to grant Herta deferred action on her deportation.

This human being MUST face deportation and LEARN that breaking the laws sometimes hits you harder in your neck than you have ever imagined.

The answer to your question - Because the majority of Americans smell what the DREAM Act is: A dressed up amnesty. The majority of taxpaying voters in this country are tired of people violating immigration laws and then screaming about the unfairness of their situation. That's why the DREAM Act has gone before Congress on multiple occasions and failed each time. The idea is a loser, particularly in a rough economy. That's reality.

I really don't understand why we haven't passed the Dream Act yet. Just look at this girl; She's a good student, she's articulate, polite, intelligent -- she could be a wonderful asset to any community that she lived in. Yet Lou Dobbs and Glen Beck would have us think of her as a "foriegn illegal invader", here to ruin our way of life. The very thought is rediculous. The US is lucky to have you Herta, even if we're sometimes too dumb to see that. Good luck.
