@sportsmansforums actually it is legal to catch and harvest more than catfish in tx.you can take as many gar as yu want as long as they are spotted or needle nose and it is also legal to keep as many carp as you want

If you catch a bass from jug fishing. From what I was told as long as i have the fishing poles with me. I can claim I caught it with my pole and they can't do anything. That if you want to keep the bass. Now if you don't have the poles. You have to let it go.

@GuyJeni I guess that'll work unless the game warden is watching you through binoculars. I think its good practice to obey the law and teach the little ones by example.

@thespaniard47 I just write my name and address right on the jug. It is required to discourage people from abandoning their equipment.

You arn't allowed to catch bass on jugs in Texas? I could be in trouble. It's fine as long as it's catch and release, right?
