@DunxMeister ...would you want something to kill or maim that was ineffective? If you were being attacked with deadly force in your home, wouldn't you want to be able to the threat immediately? Yeah, me too.

@Jcolinsol and my answer would be I would do that to stop someone who is intent on attacking me or my family. When it comes down to them or me, I value my life and that of my family members more than an attacker. I hope that clears it up for you.
