Nice job Sam. I've always appreciated your brass stuff. The website and your book have given me lots to think about work on. Also, Thanks for posting the video. I read your post on the open horn about the vocal overtones and didn't quite get it. the video helps explain it.

Chris Tune here: This is nice...I've noticed the same thing. Lately, I've begun to think that the whole space "inside" needs to have a proper relation to the pitches being produced. I'm thinking it has to do with the rate of flow of air (just "rate", since narrower passages need a faster flow rate in order to "source" the same volume of air through to the instrument).
So, this is like the physics of plumbing (using water) or jet engines (using air), and organ pipes and supply systems.

how do i utilize this on pedal tones?
I can neither sing nor freebuzz that low.

Once you get your embouchure balanced using this idea, EVERYTHING seems to work better.
