@ukmale164 the fact that they dont engineer it, they just take a picture of already engineered american bike, and they simply just copy it, making it heavy, unproportional in weight, and mostly unreliable, they usually break within a year if you use it often
This might be a silly question to ask looking at this vid but can a iPod Touch 4g with a Otterbox Defender case fit into the mount, if not which mount will work as I am not prepared to fit a hardcaseless Touch into a bicycle mount as shown in this vid
I use this mount with my iPhone 3G & have done so for about 2 years I've never had any problems whatsoever with it & am a daily London rider so pot holes & general wrecked bike lanes have never managed to shake my phone out of the holder or the holder of the mount I just wonder if reblechman had full twist locked the holder to mount fuller before taking on the cobbles? I still find the mount needs quite a bit of pressure to be used in order to release my phone & like I said I've had it 2 years!!
I purchased a comparable product and had the misfortune of having my iPhone 3GS pop off while going over a cobblestone-paved street. My screen was shattered and I had to rush to the Apple store and pay $200.00 to get it replaced.
Except for this one fatal flaw, this product would be a real winner. As it is, I haven't dared use the bicycle mount since this incident.
I don't know if this particular iPhone mount has the same problem, but I caution potential buyers to be careful.
if you mount a phone to a bike you really want it in some kind of shock absorbing material. it needs to be cusioned
