[Intimate call to Allah:]

You are my obligatory worship, and voluntary devotion

You are the subject of my speech, and my preoccupation

O Qibla of my Prayer, wheneer I stand in worship.

I left behind all uns in others, and came to seek uns in myself.

(For) You are the one whos near to me, without sense and without touch.

I ascended toward the Heavens, I left behind the Earth of the physical.

I called out: O Lord, forgiveness! Forgive my sins and my impurity!

I am the needy one who asks You when alone, O Lord, for uns in the Divine.

Witnessing You is Bliss itself, it is my objective, my wedding celebration

O Him whose door is always open, Whose door I never leave,

Seeking to taste a drink that is most sweet for the people of my kind.

[Advice to the Seeker:]

The nights cry over the loss of men, who stayed up in Dhikr and study.

They were as the moons of the night, they were as the morning, as the sun.

From Allah they gained glory, before entering their graves.

If you want to live a happy life, then let your ship cast anchor-

On the sandhill of Arrival, where the virtuous spend their nights.

There: fulfill your hopes; let not despair lead you astray.

Enter with a heart thats sound, and look with heart and feeling.

Forbid sleep to your eyes, and in sanctity recite the Book.

[The wonders of the universe are in it,

Jinn and Humans, all are in it.

And he who leaves it will live miserably, veiled from it.

The Qur'an of my Lord is noble and generous,

It removes the delusions and mistakes of the self.

* The meaning of Uns:

Intimacy and comfort. It is the opposite of waḥsha: a feeling of estrangement, desolation, cheerlessness, gloom, dismay, or of being uncomfortable or cold. Waḥsha is related to the words for a wild beast or animal, and for a desolate and dreary place, whereas uns is related to the words for domesticated animals or pets, and the word insān: human.

Uns in Allah has been defined by Sufis as a spiritual state in which the heart becomes permeated by Love and contemplates the Beauty of Allah and His Gentleness, Mercy and Forgiveness. The state of uns is ineffably sweet and indescribable.

With uns in Allah, a person does not need to have anyone else around him.

so if there is someone around you who makes you feel happy and content and warm, and takes away your loneliness and coldness, then that person is giving you uns.

animals that are domesticated, and become house pets, are called "anees", from the same root, because they have a familiarity with you, a relationship.

likewise the "insaan" (human), which is the opposite of the "wahsh".

however, some ppl begin to feel "wahsha" around other people, and only find real "uns" in Allah.

the meaning is under the description. but i will repeat it here in different wording..

when you are alone, and you don't like being alone. you feel bored, or lonely, maybe cold or scared, or uncomfortable, then you are feeling "wahsha". This word comes from "wahsh" which means "a far away, desolate place like a desert" and also means the wild animals in such a place. wahsh can be a wild beast like a wolf or something.

the opposite of all of that is uns.
