I've seen a lot of unofficial posts of this track on youtube which I'm not bothered about, what I am bothered about is the fact people are misnaming it and calling me "plastician man".
I've tried to have them changed but nobody seems to be paying too much attention, so I've decided to upload one myself with the correct spelling, tags, links and most importantly my correct artist name!!
Thanks to anyone reading this for taking the time to check out Japan on Youtube.
Before anyone posts any stupid comments please take the following into account:
1) There never was a version of Japan made with Streetfighter samples. Anybody who has watched a youtube video of this version was watching a version using ripped audio from my Myspace page - the samples were put on top of the track to stop people from downloading and sharing it illegally before its release.
2) I know that the track "Japan" samples Chinese music. It was simply titled Japan as I wrote the drumloop for the track whilst in my hotel in Tokyo when I played there, and that is what the file was saved as on my computer.
3) Plastician man does not exist. Plastician does, and he was formerly known as Plasticman - hence the confusion amongst the Youtube community.
4) People have squabbled over whether this is Dubstep or Grime or both or neither. I take heavy influences from both genres and prefer not to be exclusively attached to one of the two genres. I like to make music which sounds original if possible so I hope you can enjoy the music for what it is, even if it sounds confusing!
5) This track is taken from my album, Beg To Differ which was released on CD and Digitally in June 2008. If you wish to purchase the MP3, follow this link to buy it on iTunes:

@chronicEx this is Plastician, the name Plasticman was a previous moniker - check plastician on wikipedia for more info on that. I've had this Youtube account for years before the namechange, hence the Plasticman user name

I've removed a few comments I made to some posters on the video to simplify in this new post to clear it up.
Yes the track is called Japan. Yes the film is Chinese. People commenting on the fact I've "ripped off" a theme from a soundtrack - I'm not trying to pass this off as my own work, this is a common process in music production called sampling.
I liked the soundtrack, and I've sampled one of the main riffs from the soundtrack, timestretched it and looped it, before adding my own elements.

@plasticman
I did produce the bass, synths, and drums myself. The main erhu riff was composed and recorded by the original artist.
I don't mean to sound patronising to anyone reading this - afterall, not everyone knows how music production works. Sampling is a huge part of electronic music production, particularly in genres such as hip hop, house and in 2004 when I produced this track, it was a major part of the dubstep sound. Particularly oriental and indian riffs back then.
