A sad,sad new : Tony Bellamy, the lead guitarist of Redbone has passed away on Christmas day, the 25th of december 2009.
We all have a strong thought for all his friends and family.
I hope his spirit will fly in peace and his great music remains amongst us forever.
A song of the past, what happend to the Native Americans, the Massacre at Wounded Knee, in december 1890 and in februari 1973, when the AIM claimed the sacred Blackhills back. Just reed also the Leonard Peltier story!!

@RacesAssembled - I had to look into at for a while: the "official" lead singer of Redbone was Lolly Vegas (far right on stage), but in this particular song the lead singer is Lolly's brother Pat. To me it shows how versatile bands were back then, compare this song to another Redbone hit single "Come and get your love" and note how different they sound.
