  • Saw this in the theatre with a friend when it originally came out.We were absolutely heartbroken by the finale. We so wanted these two people to win & live happily ever after. We weren't expecting such a tragic ending. We sat there during the end credits choked up & speechless.Devastating! It still gets me every time.I love BLOW OUT!

    HEY, STOP STABBING YOURSELF.

    STOP STABBING YOURSELF.

    STOP STABBING YOURSELF.

  • fantastic cinematography by zsigmond

  • Did anyone notice how EVERYTHING is red white and blue in this movie? Seriously, in the opening B-movie there is 1 red room, 1 white, and the blue shower room. When it shows the people watching the movie one is wearing red, one white, one blue. I don't even think I need to point out how many times you can see it in just this 9 minute clip. I only noticed this the 2nd time watching. Brian de Palma put a lot of things in here you can only notice if you watch the movie twice.

  • It's funny, because it's "Dick" killing "Sally"

I'm pretty shocked that I don't even remember a female character getting killed in the Dark Night! Maybe it was because there was so much violence going on in it and The Joker characterization was so powerful and dominated the film so much. Yet after years (I first saw it when it originally came out) I remember the end of Blow Out.

  • one of my favourite films and BO

    Thanks for that
