Learn the basics for starting a garden in a container or large pot. Drainage is essential for the health of your plants throughout the season, so we asked Ingar, the "GreenGiant" from http://community.homedepot.com to show us how to prepare a large container pot for planting.

For this demonstration Ingar used:
A Southern Patio container (shop now http://bit.ly/eVCYpL),
A Ryobi cordless drill (shop Ryobi brand products now http://bit.ly/dLGqtn),
Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Potting Soil (shop Miracle-Gro now http://bit.ly/eJiZjD).

Learn more about Ingar, the "GreenGiant", a horticulturist in one of our Atlanta stores http://bit.ly/fmdveN

  • No offense but you need to watch the other Home depot video on how to plant tomatoes...you didn't do it right. You have to plant tomatoes deep, remove bottom stems and use bone meal.
