Marie Antoinette + The Tudors? What could be better? Pretty self-explanatory. I took the liberty of creating an opening credit sequence for the film Marie Antoinette, as if it had been a televised series like the Showtime hit, The Tudors. I love lavish period pieces and I think the audio seems to fit well for both the Tudor and Hapsburg/Bourbon monarchs.

Admittedly, I wasnt really a fan of Marie Antoinette when I first saw the film, but I am in love with the gorgeous costumes and lavish scenery. Although I sometimes find Sofia's editing choppy, the dialogue a bit too modernized, the 80's songs a bit out of place and scenes of Marie lolling in the grass or walking down stairs a little drawn out and repetitive, I still view this movie as a work of art in regards to its visuals. I completely agree with an IMDber's comment that it reminded them of a painting.

  • HBO needs to do Marie Antoinette :)

  • I for one loved Sofia's film. I know many who didn't, and I can see where they're coming from, but for me, it did what no one else has: showed us what her life was really like, from her perspective. It let us into the pretty bubble she lived in, all clothes and gambling and champagne, blissfully ignorant of the outside world. We were invited into her inner circle, everything considerately translated for us to modern speech, and set to fun, poppy music that suited the lifestyle so perfectly.

  • After I saw the fiasco of Sophia's movie I thought that HBO needs to make a series. But it would have to be like 3 of them. Marie Antoniete, Robespierre and Napoleon.

  • @ShortestShowShown That's what I said after I watch sophia's fiasco. It needs to be a miniseries to be completely understood.

  • @AWickedMind Have you read much about her life? That movie was a fiasco!! I

  • They should really make a tudors style series based around marie antoinette or the french revolution, with someone like michelle williams as marie antoinette. It wouldnt matter if it was 100% accurate just if it was entertaining.........Dont think it will happen though.

  • Not bad, think the clips changed too quickly in the beginning, but still a good vid!
