Because i´m using some new techniques i decided to make a new video about painting figures. Especially oil paints are a big improvement. Part II will deal with oil paints and the finished figures.
The figures i used for this videos are from Andrea miniatures and show a Roman Centurion and a Legionary of the 1st Century B.C.
They look exactly like the two protagonists in the series "Rome" from HBO, my favourite TV series. Scale: 54mm (1/32).

In my understanding this video is an update to earlier videos i made about painting miniature figures.
The techniques shown in this video are just my own way to paint figures. Professional modellers might not allow these techniques, but they work for me and i´m usually very satisfied with the results.

  • you use only glue? No pinning involved? Must be super strong glue.

  • @hollywoodwerewolf i use only glue without any pinning. works fine, even for 90mm figures. i use usual uhu super glue.

  • Could this method be adapted for painting a clay model of justin bieber?

  • @Lewbert anything that has something to do with bieber is not worth the needed effort.

  • please could you say where you got the models from and what colours you used, that would be greatly apprieciated. faveroted

  • @ItsTomIrl i bought the figures online (paderos zinnminiaturen) and i used acrylic paints from revell and lifecolor and oil paints from mig.

  • @888HamilkarBarkas888 Oh okay, I think you will love the angle brushes once you use them. I talk about them at the end of my vid #20 on Tier 2 Brushes. With your skill you will kill with these!!! LOL
