Israeli police officer assaults children at peaceful protest

On 11th October 2011 the children of Cordoba school in Hebron engaged in peaceful demonstration for their right to an education. The protest was triggered by the Israeli occupying forces changing the rules at checkpoint 56, refusing school teachers the right to pass around the side of the checkpoint as they have done for several years. The military are now insisting that everybody pass through the metal detectors, including pregnant women and people with pacemakers - who were also previously exempt.
