Terrorist Cells will stick with what's cheap. Why buy an expensive, new gun, even if it's better, when the AK-47 is easy to teach children to use and is readily available for virtually nothing. Not to mention the abundance of ammo. They jam rarely and need maintenance about as often. Always expect insurgents and local fighters to pick what's cheap and easily reloaded over what's more precise and effective.
Besides, no gun looks as good as an AK-47 peeking out from behind a burnt out car.

@websuspect I agree with you. People will not give up their freedom without much bloodshed. The government is gearing up for an uprising like the world has never seen. I am ready with my equipment when they unconstitutionally come to my personal property with their unlawful search and seizures orders from a foreign government.
Better to be dead than the subject of a foreign power. Think back to our ancestors in the 1700s and what they thought of royalty.

@websuspect Yes it can

This is a totally useless weapon. Why do I need this when a standard belt fed launcher can do the same amount of damage and also carry alot more rounds. The 3gl looked very impressive however and the ADWS looked devastating.

@carlcarlson910 its a gun on a stand ooooh im real impressed.

Nucking futs!!!

the point is that it's fired electronically, there are no physical interaction unlike a conventional gun. the down side is that this thing is a bitch to reload but you can make boxes full of the tubes for this this and it'd make a very good shot gun or disposable weapon.

Are you dumb? Australia is the inventor of Metal Storm weapons.

What is the point of this weapon, what type of ammo is it firing is it a explosive charge or what?

Their customers not only include government contracts but a LOT of private sector companies as well. Go to their website and look at their partners.
Not a company that is likely to have shares go down.
MetalStorm stock hasn't been going up very quickly. When you show something new and innovative to most people, you may as well be showing it to a monkey. They don't understand new things. All you get is stupid comments like you see posted here. This is the future in weapons technology. Reportedly, fomer U.S. Defence Secretary Rumsfeld cancelled tow major Army weapons programs because he believed that MetalStorm would make them obsolete in five years.

People arent stupid. They know the US government wants to use this technology against the American people. We dont need it so why invest in it.
