@KillerBSan If you play with your fingers, just mute the string with one of the plucking fingers right after you play a note. Try putting a metronome at like 60bpm and do it once per beat, it's not hard to get used to :) Sorry if it's a bad explanation. If you need more help, just ask :)

@KillerBSan If you mean the stocatto (I don't know how to say it) notes, then you either lift your hand up on the fretboard right after playing the note, or when walking, you immediately mute the string with your second finger. Hope this helps!
