this recording is NOT meant for commercial use.
Thanks to Stanislav Dyachenko & Gilmourish.com for the perfect backing track.

This free interpretation is dedicated to my favorite duo David Gilmour and Richard Wright, who's pass away was a terrible loss to David (his friend) and to me and so many other people as well.

I have chosen this instrumental that reflects both men's artistic work, and maybe it is a properly farewell to Richard.

As I am not that talented musician as Master Gilmour I wouldn't even try to copy the original version. Besides that, I have no whammy pedal to turn up the notes to the highest scales, as audible in the beautiful original version. So my IMPROVISATION is tuned at lower scales

All guitars played by myself and home recorded.

Lead guitar first part :
Demeter Compulator, Lovepedal Englishman, Lovepedal E6, Boss BD-2 Blues driver, BK Butler clean boost, GE-7(a), Novadelay, Cathedral delay

Lead guitar second part :
Demeter Compulator, Boss BD-2 Blues driver, Pete Cornish G-2, (Boss CH-5 on/off), GE-7(b), Novadelay, Cathedral delay

Backing guitar distortion : Demeter Compulator, Pete Cornish G2 + P-2, GE-7 , GE-7(b), Cathedral short delay

Backing guitar rhythm delay : Demeter Compulator, Lovepedal E6, Pete Cornish SS-3, Boss CH-5, Novadelay, Cathedral delay, GE-7(b)

Rotary sound high speed: Demeter Compulator, Pete Cornish SS-3, GE-7 (b), Boss RT-20, 2 x CH-5, Novadelay, Cathedral delay

Slide effects : DG-20 EMG strat , Demeter Compulator, Pete Cornish S3 clean, GE-7 (a) Novadelay, Cathedral delay

Acoustic guitar : Tacoma dreadnought line recorded via mixing consol Yamaha MG124CX

Electric guitars : DG Relic Strat, DG-20 EMG strat for the slide guitar and floating effects.

Amps are an old custom 50w Hiwatt and a Reeves custom 50 PS, both amps plugged into a Reeves 1 x 12 vintage purple speaker cabinet via stereo splitted system. Microphones: Shure SM57

Recording program : Cubase Essential5, provided by Ken Marcelis

  • thank you. Your opinion is much appreciated.

  • Thanks

  • All my posts are recorded with several guitar tracks.

For a live performance I would need 2 or 3 guitar players.

However, if ever I should have the hardware and the features to make video's of my playing, I will not hesitate to display them.

    Thanks for your appreciation

    Michel

  • I love it, very nice!!

  • It's wonderful. I didn't expect that it sounds that well without this whammy-pedal. Excellent work, my friend!
