The next logical progression in teaching balance tricks. First static balance, then balance with forward motion, then balance with the horizontal motion of positions. At this level the exercise is reaching the complexity of herding or object guarding; the dog must concentrate on 3 things at once, the ball, her body, and taking my commands. Except in this case any little distraction causes immediate failure. To watch the dog hold consciousness in three places at once and tune out all other distractions is really exciting for me. Especially because we are working outside the influence of innate behavioral routines like other exercises that require a mind split three ways.

great job ohh and great dog btw... and I'm not so sure about this but... can he make a body roll? cheers from portugal :)

@nezdai I won't say anything is impossible, but with a dog, unlike a human, they have no other hand for the ball to roll to. The ball would have to roll from the head down the back and return to the head. The real crux would be teaching the dog to absorb the speed of the rolling ball by putting their rear up and front end down.If I do it I will post it for sure!
