  • I've had tinnitus since I was 16 and I had an ear infection that affected the balance fluids in one ear. I'm now 30 and used to it, but for the first couple of years it was quite upsetting and resulted in many sleepless nights (I still use the TV to drop off to sleep to) and sometimes made me feel like I was going crazy.

I sympathise with anyone else who has it.

  • I'm suffering from tinnitus. I'm focken cursing that day when I bought the headphones. My life is just a horror, I'd focken give away all my money to get rid of it. I hope God hasnt forgot us and someday he will release us. Bless you all.

  • I've had tinnitus since I was about 11 never realized what it was until about the age of 19.... I simply thought everyone else heard such ringing and oscillations of super high frequencies. I've never had a problem with it and to tell the truth I quite enjoy it. Its intensity varies in relation to my mental state, diet and physical activity. In fact I find the whole experience, especially in silence quite beautiful, almost meditative.

  • Tinnitus is horrible! I had (and still do have it) since I was a young girl. It the ringing in my ear would happen a lot. I got so many sleepless nights, it was horrible! Now that I am 14, I am used to the ringing. Yet, I do not like it when it is quiet because that is when the ringing really starts.

Hello, I too suffer from Tinnitus & have ever since I was born. I am39. It does take some effort to try & forget the sounds/pitch. I as a child used to listen to my radio to get to sleep. I still do sometimes.I understand your frustrations but I have always had it so I don't let it get me down. If you can distract yourself you can forget the noise. Don't let it get you down as there is no cure. There are medications that can help. Go to your pharmacy for more info.

  • It certianly drives me insane. Its like a nagging wife always providing a piercing noise. I just started to try using white or pink noise. So far i found running water to be the best sounds for mine.

  • Im 14 with tinitus

  • TRT is a great thing to reduce the tinnitus. It worked for me and reduced it by 80%. I have no stress from this. I also had Hyperacusis for some time. i am happily cured!

  • I hate having tinnitus :(

  • @luckyfire3 You may have something called Meniere's disease if you are experiencing bouts of vertigo accompanied by tinnitus. This is treatable. You should mention it to your doctor.

  • @Moonw12 DO u still have it my ears have been ringing for a month and sometimes it so bad I feel nauseous and dizzy.

  • Think I got mine from firearms
