Shelley guest-stars as "Professor Carol Ketay," a nuclear physicist and author. She takes a cruise to relax and meets onboard her old friend Julie McCoy [Lauren Tewes], the ship's cruise director. Julie would like to see "nerdy" Carol loosen up, live it up, and look for love. Her romantic advice—dress sexy, talk dumb—is hardly sage, but it does provide Shelley an opportunity to look dynamite and be breathlessly comic a la Marilyn Monroe's "Lorelei Lee."

In need of resolution are these questions:

**will Carol's assumed stupidity ultimately attract or repel her would-be lover Chris (actor Kevin Tighe)?
**will Carol continue to "play the fool" or revert to (smart) type?
**will this actually be a LOVE BOAT episode WITHOUT a happy romantic ending?

Actress Shelley Hack's television work deserves (re-)discovery. This is one piquant example why.

Erm, almost all the extras appeared on the 1st episode of Charlie's Angels season 4 when Shelley joined the show and it was shot on exactly the same set!? This is supposed to be funny, right? lol

@lkdjdf She was on it twice. The "Charlie's Angels-Love Boat Angels" was Shelley's debut on "Charlie's Angels", but Shelley was on the "Love Boat" again as the above video shows. I always remembered how Kevin Tighe asked Shelley "Have we met before"? Then, she replies "Before what"? Good stuff!
