Do you shoot off the "front sight dot" or the "flat part on top of the dot".... I'm not too familiar with handguns....

@hatheyrealldead Depends on the gun, I've seen both. And depends on the distance of course, at SOME distance the bullet will travel past both.

Some three dot setups have the impact point _under_ the middle dot in front blade. Not where the front blade ends. First is better for fast shooting IMO. Latter for target shooting with no time limit.

Excellent and thanks so much!

if i were to shoot a weapon with the same sights, would the bullet travel to the center if the white circle on the front sight or will it go to the top flat part of the front sight?

Miller I have always shot, and shot pretty good. I have never thought to make the front sight clear and the rest be blurry. Seriously, I never thought of that, I tend to shoot low with all my guns, so I hold up a little higher. I will be going to my rang and try that out.

@mryesterday thanks alot for those tips

@mryesterday If you have a Colt 45 then do not think that is a gun. Just think you are Mike Tyson and squeeze the handle and punch 1 BIG punch hope u can open fire!!
I hate that gun, lucky they replace by Italian bad ass Beretta M9
- Terrible design!! when you reach the enemy and in your mind, you must SQUEEZE THE HANDLE in order to open fire!!!
so for how far away do you have to be to hit center the way you was aimin? cause wouldn't you aim higher or lower depending on your distance. when i shot i shot at like 10 to 15 yards away and for some reason when i aim at the center the way you show in the vid i hit low. i have only been shooting for like 8 months now do you think im doin something wrong or could it be my guns sights. o yea im shooting a g23 and a m&p40c which i just got two days ago.

@leewhite336 You may be anticipating recoil just a little bit which is causing you to pull your shots slightly low. Practice with dry fire, and concentrate on only moving your trigger finger to squeeze the trigger. At the range, the shot should come as a surprise to you.

Is all your sight focus going to be on the front post if you're using a rifle at 100 yards? Should the target be blurry at that distance? Thanks!

@77PBR Yes. You focus on the target initally, but once you settle in, you put all your focus on your front sight.
