  • For those who whimsically critique Bach's recycling of music - well you try to produce a masterpiece every week and then criticize a great master! A diamond is still a diamond no matter how many settings you put it on.

  • As Ton Koopman told,the music is that of J.S.BACH,and as Bach himself stated,"any piece of music which is not written for the God, is a sound not a music"

  • About 2/3 of Bach's B-minor Mass parodies cantata movements, as do his other masses.

    This Mass In g, BWV 235, parodies mvts. from cantatas BWV 72, BWV 102, BWV 187.

    You might want to compare with cantata originals.
