So you want to buy tickets to the 2011 Superbowl? No problem! As long as you're willing to put in the research, time, and have cash!
Unfortunately, the only method the NFL has to distribute tickets to the public is through a random drawing. There is no other way for the general public to purchase tickets. The NFL does not sell tickets to travel or ticket agents.
Entries for the random drawing are accepted between Feb. 1 and June 1 of the year preceding the game in question. All ticket requests must be sent via certified or registered mail. Those selected in the random drawing will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets.
If you missed the deadline for this year's Superbowl, now is the time to think ahead and enter for next year's Superbowl!
Also, make sure your tickets are Official Superbowl tickets! Official tickets include holograms, custom laser cutouts, thermachromic ink and a specially-made gloss varnish. A counterfeit ticket may be missing one or even several of these or other security features.
The NFL provides you with a secure, official resale marketplace to purchase your Super Bowl tickets called the NFL Ticket Exchange. But don't forget to check out Zigabid. Zigabid provides a safe secure environment to purchase tickets. Buying on Craigslist or the street before the game makes you susceptible to fake tickets. Even with today's ticket technology, there are always people making fake tickets. The higher the price of the ticket, the more likely they are to be duplicated. We all learned our lesson from the 2011 BCS championship game!
And last, make sure you SAVE YOUR MONEY! When listed on Ticketmaster alone, Superbowl ticket prices range between $2000 and $8000 dollars. Luckily, you can use Zigabid. Zigabid is the only site that allows you to negotiate your ticket price directly with the seller, not to mention it offers the best seats and prices. This has been Zigabid's guide to buying tickets for the 2011 Superbowl!
No problem? Tell that to the over 400 chumps who got swindled. Hopefully Jerry Jonesberg will never be allowed to host another superbowl in the Cowboy barn.
