I agree that we are far more than our bodies. But when you say it's "part of a metaphysical realm of existence called the mind", one could respond by saying the afterlife is a projection of the person's innermost desires(heaven) or fears(hell) and experiences, and that the afterlife experience is created and projected by the person. This is not necessarily the case, but I don't think we can rule it out, which would make it quite speculative in nature. Though the tunnel, light etc are consistent.

Really? Are you certain that all discussion of an afterlife is merely speculation. The fact that we have cognitive functions, means there's a part of us that transcends the material chemical based structure of our bodies, and is part of a metaphysical realm of existence called the mind.

I think you're slightly misinterpreting me. By all is speculation within the material, I was implying more that we can only speculate on what's beyond our current material existence, not so much the laws of that govern our universe. There are clearly many very fixed patterns and laws within this universe, though they may not apply elsewhere, such as higher dimensions. I was saying that, prior to the experience of death, all discussion of an afterlife is speculation. :D

Actually, in the "material" there is no speculation, there is only matter and energy, acting by the cause and effects relationships. Never to achieve any cognitive functions; it just "is".

I agree. In the material all is speculation and we'll eventually find out the truth, when we die, that's my opinion. I also agree that it presents interesting ideas and was a pleasure to watch. Lol ya that was some other guy but no worries. Your comment regarding the Bible just struck a nerve with me, I'm not Christian but I don't like hearing people insult other peoples' religions. Nothing against you, it just bugged me the way you said it is all. I did overreact though so I apologize for that.

I enjoyed this movie (not just the 10min clip) because it opened new ideas on my personal fundamentals, not because I believe every word it proclaims. I thought you were the one who said this was a propaganda piece for the occult, I was wrong. I replied to him and you replied to me very quickly.

(cont) I know what the video is about, what's your point? And regarding the occultism idea, though I did not claim that this video is pro-occult, the "we are all one" bit is a primer for mankind calling himself God. We are all connected, yes, and we are all one under/within God, but we are not One in the sense that so many describe. "We are One", turns to "All is One", turns to "I am All" and then "I Am God". That's Luciferian philosophy and that's what's being embraced with this "New Age" crap.
