I felt really bad that my sister who loves Harry Potter felt she would never get to see Hogwarts in Florida (Universal studios). SO, to celebrate the new movie I decided on September 24 that we would throw a party. But not just any party, we would convert our ENTIRE home into a Harry Potter themed world! It took four straight days to set it all up, 500 dollars to buy all the necessary foods and decorations, and about 3 months of preparation and planning to make it all possible but I- excuse me- we did it! The party was a great success and everyone went on about how magical and fantastic it all was. The living portraits, the virtual rides, the candy, the wands, etc. I was very pleased with how it all went. As far as seeing the film at midnight goes, it was also very awesome! Had a great time! Let me hear what your favorite part was about the party, and a Happy Harry Potter day to all of you.

  • hey love ur video :) im doing daigon alley in my basement for my cuzin, shes saving up for her family to go to the wizarding world but its gonna take her like 6 years :( i waz wonderin were u got the wands for ollivanders they look like the ones in universal r they? and i love the pygmy puffs were did u get there cage?

  • @dracorules13 That's so sweet of you :D ---there were three wands purchased from noble collection- the rest were all made by myself in a number of ways. I can't even remember. The easiest thing to do is just find an interesting twig that catches your eye and then use sand paper to smooth it out. Then you can paint things on it, or use hot glue for shapes and paint over that. The cage was an antique that I borrowed from a friend for the party.

  • I'm so sad I couldn't be there for this :/ That's what living in Mt. Pleasant does to you I guess >_< It looks like you guys had an epic time though! You're so creative Josie :D
