  • So, what's wrong with me if I don't feel anything when listening to this album?

  • @justinmikov Music IS subjective, BUT this album does have a concept, you can't ignore that when listening. If you aren't into the music then whatever man its not your thing, but to say that this song really outshines all of the others is kind of a stretch (obviously your opinion and I'm not gonna tell you what you should think) but it leads me to believe that you haven't listened to the album much either, because a lot of the songs have what you mentioned too and are less chaotic than this song

  • @rokknroll4 Yeah... well that's just like, your opinion, man. But really, I can't help but feel that you are talking out of your arse just a little bit sir. You could say much the same thing about all concept albums. One one hand... Yes I agree, this album is one big thematic sandwich that was intended to be munched on as such. Now, that being said, This song is like bacon in a BLT baby, and when that pounding begins and that choral singing picks up back there among the reverb... Catharsis.

  • @justinmikov First part, totally not true at all, the album is more about the experience than any individual song. This song is a hard hitting introduction to Dan's anguish and depression when he wrote this album but the rest of the album is like the meat, not a full sandwich without it, if you wanna talk individual tracks I think No One Is Ever Going To Want Me and Buried Above Ground are both better. Second part... Ok I can agree with that, this song IS incredible.

  • It's so it's name. All the way. I mean this will give you beautiful nightmares. Makes you feel like the most frightening thing ever is also the most beautiful and it's creeping up behind you right now. Kinda like the devil. or a solemn angel.

  • jewish rapper check me out

  • boring

  • Sadly, the rest of this album pales in comparison to this song. Then again, this song is incredible.

  • @UmbRa52 Well said. It's funny though, Dan Barrett/Giles Corey is himself a (mostly) bald guy with glasses.

  • @theMadbombR

Sorry, but where did you possibly get I was referring to Have a Nice Life as the band I saw in Chicago 15 years ago and later in Nashville????? Fifteen years ago this Giles Corey was 16 years old, and probably couldn't even get into the Kingston Mines as he wasn't even with the band, just sitting in for a few songs. This Giles Corey is actually a guy named Dan Barrett as Heartattackanvine1 has so correctly informed me. The guy I was referring to real name is Giles Corey.
