Wildland fire in Lincoln Calif. Shot from over one mile away, the audio is distorted due to over 40 mile per hour winds here. Some video goes out of focus due to camera focusing on the smoke instead of the Air Tankers. In this video Tanker 93 is from Chico, Annie, and Tanker 89 is from the Grass Valley Air Attack Base, Joseph, call sign "Hoser", is the Tanker 89 pilot, he is a friend of mine. They both fly the S-2 Trackers modified with Turbo-Prop engines. The fire burned over 500 acres and spot jumped over 6 miles. Tanker 66, a McDonald Douglas DC-7 from Chico made numerous drops. At least 12 CDF aircraft and Sikorsky S-61 and S-64 Skycrane helicopters from Siller Brothers in Yuba City helped out. There will be 5 more videos of Air Tankers and Helicopter action put up onto YouTube documenting the Air Attack Aircraft that fought this huge wildland fire.
Are you a forest fire fighter?

I am not a Fire Fighter, I help maintain Fire Fighting Aircraft and Air Ambulances for REACH Mediplane, their Agusta A109 helicopters. I have worked on these S-2 Trackers, mostly the altitude reporting systems, at their base in Grassvalley Calif. I help maintain several Sikorsky S-61 and S-64 Sky Cranes for Siller Brothers Aviation in Yuba City Calif. I take care of their flight instruments and transponder/altitude reporting systems. When I get a call from them I give these people top priority.
