We often write reviews or video blogs when a company or product lets us down, but I wanted to give credit to a company that I feel is doing it RIGHT! I've had a wonderful experience with Redwing Shoe Company. Great product, Great service PERIOD.

  • I have a pair of Worx boots that I have had for 4 to 5 years, they look brand new because I rarely wear them. It kills my feet after a half day in them. I just can't get through the break-in. Part of it is my ankles. Higher tops and my ankles just don't work well together. Any tips to suffer through the break in?

  • @jknacasual - The worx are nice. I've heard that soaking them with rubbing alcohol and then wearing them helps. I just expect a month of pain during the break in period. After that month though; boy howdy, they're like wearing clouds. All this is assuming they fit. if it is a poor fitting boot, there's almost nothing that can be done. If there are some pinch points, take them to a cobbler that can work those areas. thanks brother!

  • I would never use anything but redwing boots! I can play basketball in my steel toes. And I must say that im at least 6 years in on this pair and only half way worn out. Well worth the money,,,

  • @kindacoiny - buy once, cry once. But, you're right, they are a pleasure to wear. there are few things left in the world that you can call a value. Thanks -j

  • Man it's good to hear your voice!! I had a pair of redwings that lasted me about ten years also. I loved those boots. It about six months to get my feet broke in but for the next 9 1/2 years they fit me like a glove. I ruined them with welding splatter though. Thus vid made me decide to get another pair. Good to see you! Will you be planting soon?

  • @bctruck - It's good to be heard. I hope all is well with you. I hope to be a little more active again, but the "L" part of CLB has hit me hard.

Won't be long now and I'll be having pounds and pounds of 'maters!

  • @jknacasual get a rubber mallet and hammer them in. especiall the top and ankle

  • Resole service has gone up to 95 dollars, according to a response from RW today. I am not sure how much local cobblers charge. RW has gone up a lot in recent years.

  • @hunt1803 - Thanks. The only problem is that when buy china crap it doesn't go to pay off anything. You definitely have to pay a premium for Made in the USA, but sometimes it's worth it.
