Bryan has been a volunteer for the Red Cross for the past 3.5 years. That means he has been volunteering since he was 12.5 years old. He started volunteering because he needed service hours for school and with the Red Cross building right across the street from his house what better place to volunteer.
Bryan does whatever is needed or asked. He has shoveled our snow without being asked. He watches our building after hours and has called us at home when our power has gone out just to make sure we are aware of the problem.
Bryan has helped us in the office, with the phones, filing, helping with Health and Safety programming and special events. He has volunteered with us at our annual golf tournament, our Culvers Day of Caring and most recently with our Heroes for the American Red Cross kickoff breakfast. Bryan has gone with our disaster responders on calls to provide aid to those whove fallen victim to house fires.
Bryan brings youth, energy and a positive attitude to not only our office, but those who interact with him when doing business with the Red Cross. The fact that he is bilingual only adds value to his volunteer service. Bryan is more than a volunteer he is our friend and frankly we consider him a member of our family.
