How does an autistic person who beats self in the head with fists get medical care? Amazing nurse (lvn) helps mom take patient with self-injurious behaviors to get bloodwork and bone scan. Will they get it done?

Wow! I've seen other posts of Jamey, so to see him doin so well here is amazin. It's great what can be accomplished when medical staff are patient & supportive. And Jamey, what a star he was! When I saw the intro pic with Jamey lying down & the word autism, I didn't think it would be Jamey as he was lying so still, but when I clicked on it & saw you in the reception at the hospital, I thought you must have given him somethin, forgettin it usually has the opposite effect with him. What a star!

It's disconcerting that so one who looks so attractive and... dare I say... manly, can have such difficulties with self care.

@candistyx Thank you, he is amazingly handsome. It really hurts me as a mom when I think about how he would've been if he didn't have all these challenges, but then I have to remember who he can STILL be, despite the challenges....Blessings.

@Nancyportilla Si, es verdad. Muchas veces pruebas han demonstrado que tenia algo causando dolor. Por ejemplo, infecion o dolor en garganta...nosotros siempre queda en contacto con el doctor para que asequar que no tiene infeciones, etc..es dificil para saber por que no puede hablar...es como bebe

@kgaccount puede ser que no habla porque no tiene la necesidad de hablar, cuando el quiere algo ustedes se lo acercan sin que el se esfuerse por omitir el nombre del objeto deseado... cuando el quiera algo ... no se lo den hasta que no de el NOMBRE .. mi madre dice que asi fue como logro que el HABLARA porque solo omitia SONIDOS
