Uhh it's not only because of weak competition. She also won because she actually has SKILL. Her time of 2:22:11 would have won all the other World Marathon Majors that year, and is actually a pretty good time.

what the hell are you talking a bout?ndereba is the most successfull marathon female runner.than even paula,wami and others.i bet gold for kenya in berlin.remember berlin is championships people will run different.

Irina Mikitenko is the dominant marathoner in the world right now. Only a healthy Paula Radcliffe could beat her. Too bad Paula wasn't able to run London. That would have been an epic race.

I'm wondering how will Catherine Ndereba win the berlin World Champs with this performance. I mean she's gonna face mikitenko in Berlin. I have a feeling Ndereba won't be world champion anymore. This race proves that Mikitenko is better than Ndereba.
