no offence at all this is a cool rig but quads werent meant for this kind of use...if i needed a forklift or a digger id just buy a bobcat or a mini tractor. BUT it still is pretty cool :)

it would lift up to 400lbs, but at that weight, you have to be careful about bending the pins and arms on the loader.

Do you have to block up the front suspension to keep it from compressing?

Yes you do. The groundhog loader kit comes with braces for the front shocks and they are installed in this video. Since then, I removed the shocks and made a solid bar replacement. It is a threaded rod with a union nut at one end, and then welded to fittings that utilize the existing shock mounting bolts. this way, I can adjust the height of the front of the quad and as well, left to right adjustments so the bucket or forks run level and flat to the ground.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer that I bought one from (Concord Equipment) has sold off the line. I am not sure who has picked it up yet. I have also heard from the original designer of the loader, that stated they are looking at manufacturing a newer version of the loader.
all i can suggest is doing a search for used Ground Hog loaders, or hold off and wait for new manufacture to come forward.
Interesting enough, I sold off my second used loader just the other day.
