Summer has gone by too fast and now Fall is officially here. Seems like Fall has arrived and besides the leaves falling there are nuts falling everywhere. You need to wear a helmet out here if you are intending to take a hike in the woods. I found some things and have some questions that you might be able to answer.

I will post a video about some great foods you can prepare using these nuts in the recipes.

Please tell us what kind of nuts you have growing in your area.

  • I have seen those before and maybe those were put on earth so the squirrels could have a buffet all winter. Thanks for the info!!!

  • Yes! These squirrels are hoarding these nuts everywhere!1 They are smart and have better senses of direction than a GPS!!!

  • We have a black walnut tree in our yard in Va and playing dodge the walnut was a very popular game around that thing, fun but painful at times game lol

  • those are hickory nuts. i have them in my backyard. squirrels love them.

    Believe it or not, all those nuts were from a single squirrel living in that shed.. correction... that USED to live in that shed... he got his walking papers and hasn't been back since!

    I plugged the holes and removed the ceiling (where I found it's nest and ... yes... MORE freekin nuts) LoL
