Horror! Just awful, ugly sound production! Really she should sing hard ROCK as she has no notion at all what BAROQUE is! No musicality, not enough inner culture to sing this sopishisticated stuff. Just primitive embelishment in a cheap pop style, and nothing more. Somebody should have advised her to listen to her true call and become a rock singer with her ugly voice and monkey manners! Freddy Mercury was great at his place and shouldn't be compared with Prina! What she sings is just BA-ROCK!!!

@Thrax1982 It's a very civil manner. Nothing against her as a person. I only comment on what an artist does ON STAGE! All opinions should be allowed on YT and not only praises. Do you always like what you hear? In this case you are a very happy person!:-) I don't call her names. These are no personal insults. Why is it possible to say that e.g. it's a bad doctor, teacher, lawer ,etc. and should do something else and artists are untouchable?! I just won't buy her recordings as it's so UGLY!

the singers can very well watch them too.

@Thrax1982 We agree to disagree. If everyone only ignored what they think is awful and never argued there would be no progress in any sphere and not only in opera. There have been heated discussions what singing should be and what beautiful is since opera was introduced. You can't prevent people from arguing. There would be still e.g. castrati and no opera reforms. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What I see in her performance insults MY notion of BEAUTY and I'd sure tell it in her face!!!

Well, it would be good if there was no reforms because as you see I prefer the pre-reform opera anyway :P

I can understand why someone could say that this voice is not beautiful, but it is interesting and that is far more important quality than beauty. Not to mention that beauty is entirely subjective. Also I'm sure that when discussing this with her in person you would put your arguments in a bit more diplomatic way. Everyone is an hero on the internet under the cover of anonymity.

@Thrax1982 Serenaluce is just being her usual nasty self. She hates mezzos and contraltos singing roles she thinks BELONG to contertenors. She must have been born in a barn ... as they say in the country.You should see the many posts she has contributed about Mary Ellen Nesi singing trouser roles.

Prina is a mezzosoprano disguised in contralto manners through a great low range, swelling the sound (this is way she sounds sometimes heavy) and darkening it, but she is very uncomfortable in this parts. Hope she stops pretending to be a contralto and she finds her true nature.

@Thrax1982 Well, at the time of your preferred pre-reform opera people were not so polite and diplomatic as you expect from them now if they attend classical performances. Let me remind you that if singers didn't please the crowd, at them there were thrown bad eggs and rotten tomatoes, and if they pleased it too much some could throw their underwear at them:-) If you suggest that at the concert I can rush on stage and give Prina a black eye if I find her singing UGLY I can assure you.. relax!LOL
