Did Nintendo plan a S/G remake for GBA?

Well, it seems so. There are some hidden soundtracks in the GBA games that can be unlocked by hacking. And they are beyond any doubt, remakes of old Silver and Gold songs.

They hid those in there because they were planning some songs for DS remake and were listening to them in the game they were currently working on. Game artists are very easily distracted.... T_T

They planned it so you can go to Johto after beating the Elite 4 like in G/S/C you can go to Kanto. But I guess they didn't for whatever reason and left the Johto music in there that was original supposed to be played in Johto.

Actually they wew going to make one for the gba. But scince the gba hackers found the hidden songs, they cancelled it

I am well aware of the date of this video, but they've been remade already.

Yeah there were GBA remixes of some of the G/S songs, heck, they used a bunch of 'em as background music in the Sevii Islands in FR/LG

Actually looking at the coding in the game, the music was placed there as a placeholder before the R/S tracks were composed.

I know the video was made in 2007, but you really need to update your videos. The remakes already exist. They're called Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver.
