I wouldnt class myself as a train man specifically but I do love machines and these are amazing machines. I always remember being in Heuston station on occasion hearing that whine from the turbos. Its a great sound. What year were these engines brought into service? What is the engine capacity and horsepower?

@Live1052 they were build in in 1976. 2,250hp. havnt got a clue about the engie capacity
