Travel in Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania & Bulgaria

http://rtwb.spaces.live.com - We rented a little Suzuki Swift in Belgrade and spent time driving past the war-torn homes of Sarajevo, checked out the ornate cathedral of Zagreb, sampled foreign cuisine in Budapest, saw many abandoned Soviet-era factories in Timisoara, enjoyed nightlife in Sofia, checked out Slobodan Milosevic's grave in Požarevac, and took pictures of the places in Belgrade that NATO bombed in 1999. We both had an absolutely fantastic trip. Nothing was planned, not even accommodations. The video is in High-Definition. Enjoy!

sarajevo could have never been 'devastated' by the war with serbia, simply because these two countries never declared a war on on one another.

i believe you were refering to the CIVIL WAR going on in bosnia during the '90.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. I was supposed to type "Serbians" since the Civil War was between Croatians and Serbians.

No, we drove from Hungary to Bulgaria and stopped in Timişoara. We did not stop anywhere else.

I have been to Russia and do speak some Russian, but have not been to Belarus. I did think about going there recently, but both required visas that would have cost at least $100 for each. The ONLY reason we went to Serbia was because it was the only place where we could get a rental car that was allowed to go to all the countries we went to.
