@sloiselle1 So you see, dear, Favre wanted things HIS way and when he didn't get them, he played games and screwed around with the health of my team, and THEN goes to our most bitter rival to "stick it" to us (quoted to Peter King). And we're supposed to be GRACIOUS because you say so? You can take your "Favre simply retired but loved the game so much he just wanted to play and the Mean Ol' Packers wound't let him, so what was he supposed to do, and the fans turn on him" bullshit and "stick it".

@sloiselle1 But Favre did REALLY retire, he was starting his gambit to get out from under his "lifetime" contract. He was angry that Ted Thompson had the gall to assemble a team HIS way instead of Favre's, so Favre pretended to retire. Favre said the last straw was when TT drafted two QB's and "closed the door on me". Does THAT sound like he retired? Then he was in direct contact with the Vikings which was where he wanted to play.

@sloiselle1 What favre did WRONG was treat the GBP like he was bigger than they were. Favre PLAYED GAMES. Understand? I am fed up with non-Packer fans telling us we should be "gracious" to guy with his "if he goes, I go" threats when Sherman was fired, or the "Trade Me" when Moss wasn't landed the first time, ON TOP of all the debates about whether he was coming back at all. When Moss wasn't landed the second time, Favre "retired". But he didn't really retire.

@sloiselle1 How about the vike fans who boo'ed when Favre was taken off the field against Buffalo with a seperated shoulder, and then gave T Jack a standing ovation when he came in? This guy just took their sorry azz franchise to the NFC championship game the year before and this is how they thank him. Let's face it, Favre is a bad guy all around, he deserves all of the bad press and negative fan reactions he gets. Thank god Favre is now gone!! GO PACK GO!!!!
